Course Description:

Artists have always experienced a lively relationship with technological change, both resisting and embracing it. In this two-part course, we will explore the ways in which advances in technology change the way art is made from such early inventions as the collapsible tin paint tube through the digital innovations of today.

For those class participants planning to visit the "Cult of the Machine" exhibition at the DeYoung Museum (Mar. 24-Aug. 12), this discussion will greatly enrich the experience.

Tuition: $30.00
