Course Description:

Noted scientist Melinda Nakagawa shows us how to observe birds from a naturalist’s perspective. In the classroom, you’ll learn critical field skills, including what characteristics to look for when identifying a particular species, how to observe using all your senses, and effective tips to improve your memory of what has been seen. Then, you’ll hone these skills during two field sessions while exploring coastal and woodland habitats. Melinda will guide you in finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, while enriching the way you experience nature around you.
