Course Description:

Join us for an insightful examination of the history of classical music through the eyes of renowned conductor, Maestro Stewart Robertson. From the Renaissance to the present, Maestro Robertson will shed light on the structures, styles, melodies and harmonies that shaped each of the musical periods over the past eight centuries. In addition, he will discuss how instruments and singing have evolved over this time while paying close attention throughout to the relationship between composer and performer.
