Course Description:

"Rolling Stone" magazine described Miles Davis as “the most revered jazz trumpeter of all time, not to mention one of the most important musicians of the 20th century.” Davis propelled jazz in new directions, but his stark, lyrical sound was a constant, and it still seduces. Join jazz cognoscente Biff Smith as he explores the variety of musical directions Davis adopted in his stellar, five-decade career.

[Please note, this offering has been rescheduled for Feb. 7 and 14, 2019. All those enrolled in the Oct. 11 and 8 session are guaranteed a seat.]
