Course Description:

When walking along the beach has a seemingly endless stream of birds in flight caught your eye? Or have you seen large birds perched on off-shore rocks sunbathing with their wings outspread? Local seabird biologist Melinda Nakagawa will introduce you to these and the other marine birds seen along our local shoreline. Explore the characteristics that make marine birds unique and learn about their habitats and behaviors. You’ll receive invaluable tips on how to identify specific birds and then take to the outdoors to hone your observational skills.
