Course Description:

Emerging evidence from contemplative and social neuroscience studies reveal that practices such as meditation and equanimity, as well as prosocial behaviors such as gratitude and compassion, can enhance our health and lead to enduring happiness and well-being. While these age-old practices can be cultivated, they can be difficult to sustain due to the pressures and demands of modern life. In our Salon, we will gather monthly to deepen our mindful living practices and share our experiences on our journey toward enduring happiness and well-being. Each session will focus on a specific topic, and while we will also discuss new research findings, our discussions will not be so much about knowledge as they will be about putting what we’ve discussed into action in our daily lives.

The Salon is open to OLLI members who have attended one or more of the previous courses in our series on the neuroscience of mindful living.
