Course Description:

Journey with us on an international film studies odyssey of movies relating to food—preparation, enjoyment and appreciation. We will view, explore and discuss six diverse films from across the globe that thoughtfully address the subject of dining. Genres include comedy, romance, satire and surrealism. Featured films include: "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" (France), "Mostly Martha" (Germany), "Babette’s Feast" (Denmark), "Tampopo" (Japan), "The Lunch Box" (India), and "Eat Drink Man Woman" (Taiwan).
