Course Description:

The short stories of Alice Munro are seemingly ordinary, and yet they reveal profound explosions of meaning within everyday events. Munro writes with a sensitivity to minute betrayals, sacrifices, resentments and miscalculations that make or break our closest relationships. She displays the memories of these moments in their secretive inability to depict clear truths. Join literary scholar Renee R. Curry as she examines two collections of stories by this Nobel Prize-winning author: "Hateship", "Friendship, Courtship", "Loveship, Marriage" (2001) and "Too Much Happiness" (2009).
