Course Description:

With science progressing at an alarming rate, the future can be both promising and frightening. Once a month, we'll gather for an insightful look at scientific developments that will shape the future of the planet. With biomedicine well beyond artificial transplants, are thought-controlled prosthetics the next step? Will advances in gene editing result in the creation of the "perfect being?" How long before we see a merger of brains and computers? Are we nearing immortality with the continued development of life extension technologies? These and other questions will be examined in our four-part inaugural Science Salon.
