Course Description:

Join Liz MacDonald as she shares how she stumbled into beekeeping and how its lessons provide the perspective necessary to endure a career in cubicle-land. She’ll also enlighten us about bee behavior and biology, the history of beekeeping, and the basics of a beekeeper’s practice.

Facilitator:

Liz MacDonald lives, writes and keeps bees on the eastern edge of the Los Padres National Forest. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from San Jose State University, where she received the Ruth McGee Award for nonfiction. Her work has appeared in literary journals, anthologies and on NPR.
