Course Description:

Reality, seen through the lens of an artist, is a beautiful gift, even in the revelation of life's struggles and challenges. This series of award-winning documentary films explores the lives and the work of five iconic visionaries, featured in four films, from the worlds of cinema, literature, photography, primatology and politics.

Each session begins with an introduction to the film and its director(s), followed by a screening and group discussion. Join us as take a deep dive into the world of documentary filmmaking.

Films tentatively scheduled:
• "Jane" (2017)
• "Faces Places" (2017)
