Course Description:

The winter bird fauna of Elkhorn Slough's complex habitat variations present an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of water-associated birdlife. Waders, gulls, loons, cormorants, grebes, and of course, myriad waterfowl of several species.

Following a morning presentation of slides to set the scene, we will venture afield to diverse locations within the reserve. The biological highlights of the species that we encounter will be reviewed each step of the way.
