Course Description:

As California's legislature and new governor wrap up their first year, we'll take a deep dive into major policy and budget actions that have occurred during this period. The state faces ongoing challenges in the areas of housing, climate change, education, and transportation, and both the governor and legislature started 2019 with big ideas for action. But as usual, not all has gone according to plan. Former Speaker pro Tem Fred Keeley will lead us through the fascinating maze that is California politics.
