Course Description:

Before the pandemic and the related lockdowns hit, world (and U.S.) economic output was at an all-time high. Although we often take economic growth for granted, we shouldn’t. In this two-part offering, economist Dr. David R. Henderson examines the history and the sources of economic growth, as well as the cornucopia that it has created for almost all Americans and for a large part of the world. Dr. Henderson also considers what economic growth has done for the poorest parts of the world, while showing that small differences in economic growth rates, compounded over decades, lead to huge long-term consequences.
