Course Description:College lecturer and lifelong world traveler Larry Tartaglino brings his passion for history and love of the sea to OLLI for two entertaining explorations of legendary vessels and locales. His first session will examine the fascinating stories behind two watercraft: the famous ocean-going raft "Kon-Tiki" and the mysterious "Mary Celeste," which was found deserted in the Atlantic. Larry’s second presentation will focus on the history of two storied Caribbean locales: Cuba and The Bahamas. |

Larry Tartaglino was born and raised on the Central Coast and spent much of his youth in and around the waters of Monterey Bay. After a successful business career, Larry turned to education and spent many years as an award-winning college lecturer. He currently gives highly sought-after lectures for the cruise line industry.
