Course Description:

Where is Monterey County's oldest tree? Who are the Dark Watchers of Big Sur? Why are pieces of the Berlin Wall at the Presidio? Who clashed with The Who at the Monterey International Pop Festival? What does it take to win the world worst car show? Who won the Battle of Natividad? Local author David Laws returns to answer these questions and introduces you to little-known legends, myths, places, and stories about Monterey County as described in his new book "Secret Monterey: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure."
