Course Description:

Back by popular demand, we continue our series examining contemporary examples of "unlikely couples" from the world of fiction and nonfiction filmmaking. Whether the improbable pair appears within another species, a family, a friendship, or between individuals on opposite sides of this mortal coil, these films inspire us to think a bit out of the box or perhaps reach across the proverbial aisle in order to broaden our sense of humanity with the knowledge that our differences make us stronger as a whole.

Films tentatively scheduled: "The Story of the Weeping Camel (2004), "Lost in Paris" (2017), "Woman at War" (2018), "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" (2018), and "After Life" (1998).
