Course Description:

Neanderthals are our closest ancient human relatives. Typically thought of as dumb brutes, recent discoveries reveal that they used tools, controlled fire, buried their dead, perhaps made music, and had an early form of writing. Genomic analysis shows Neanderthals live on in human genes — but we're only beginning to understand how they shaped us. Join us for an illuminating re-evaluation of our misunderstood ancestors.
