Course Description:

With abundant woodlands, a coastal river, picturesque grasslands, and varied wildlife, Glen Deven Ranch is an icon of the Big Sur landscape. Bequeathed to the Big Sur Land Trust in 2001 by Dr. Seeley and Mrs. Virginia Mudd, it was Virginia's dream that the ranch become an educational showplace for conservation, land stewardship and artistic inspiration. Big Sur Land Trust welcomes OLLI for a gentle hike along Glen Deven’s Ridge Trail. Seasoned guide Todd Farrington will illuminate the ranch’s rich history and present-day conservation value. Join us for a day filled with lore, heart-filling inspiration and stunning Big Sur views. (Note: involves walking 2.4 miles on a well-maintained trail with some gentle elevation changes. Group will carpool from the Crossroads Shopping Center.)
