In our opening session, Dr. Futernick will describe the process of hosting civil conversations with participants from opposing viewpoints, as well as what he has learned from the process. During our second meeting, Dr. Peter Coleman, Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University and acclaimed expert in constructive conflict resolution, will share valuable insights about the sharp rise of polarization in America and the divisive culture wars that plague our schools. Our final session will feature representatives from a California school district where they are holding Courageous Conversations with the help of Dr. Futernick.
