Course Description:

Co-facilitated by Ann Todd Jealous and Caroline Haskell, authors and editors of "Combined Destinies: Whites Sharing Grief About Racism", this discussion will help participants deepen their skills for being effective allies, gain increased awareness of the daily impact of racism on people of color, and heal from the ways that racism has denied or hurt our humanity. Note: Reading "Combined Destinies" prior to the session is strongly recommended.

Ann Todd Jealous, former educator and marriage and family therapist, is a founding member of the MCNCBI and a gold sustaining member of the NAACP. Caroline Haskell, LCSW, is an Emerita Founding Administrator from CSUMB, and co-founder of Whites for Racial Equity. Both are experienced leading diversity training programs as well as the many conversations sparked by "Combined Destinies".
