[Past Event] Seeking Answers in the Arctic Ice (p.22)

Course Description:

Stalking polar bears. Thinning ice. Weeks without sun. Tim Stanton faced these conditions after he made the long journey to the Arctic in 2019 to take part in a multi-nation mission aimed at documenting climate change at the top of the world. Named MOSAiC, the year-long study included a rotating cast of more than 300 researchers. Stanton was among the first group of scientists to make the trip and returned after several months. He'll explain his research methods and tell us what he has learned about the rapid melting of Arctic ice, with an emphasis on the amazing Arctic environment.
