[Past Event] Staging "Three Trees" by Alvin Eng | Livestream Zoom

Course Description:

What goes into putting on a play? Rookie actor Chris Hasegawa and producer/director Harriet Lynn will moderate a Zoom discussion with playwright Alvin Eng and other members of the cast and crew to explore all that goes into even a very small production. "Three Trees" is a portrait play about Alberto Giacometti, his model/muse Isaku Yanaihara, wife Annette, and brother Diego. It explores the haunting relationship between Giacometti, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, and his primary 1950s inspiration, Japanese philosopher and professor Isaku Yanaihara. Visuals created for this production are by Mark Baer.

Act 1 of the play will be performed free for OLLI and Gentrain members on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 1:30pm.
