Course Description:

The Earth's greenhouse effect has been known for over a century. Scientists have long understood that an increase in the burning of fossil fuels would lead to a warming Earth and a changing climate. Yet now, even as the science has become much more definitive, specific and alarming, climate change has become more of a political issue than a scientific one. Join us as we review the history of the greenhouse effect, describe its consequences, and present the science to rebut the most popular arguments made by climate change deniers. We'll also discuss some hopeful policy developments for the future.
