Course Description:

Contrary to popular belief, the world of book publishing is very much alive. With the advent of ebooks and audiobooks and the growth of Young Adult novels, more people are reading than ever before, which means it’s the perfect time to try your hand at fiction, memoir, non-fiction or a graphic novel. Author Alka Joshi will guide you through the practical nuts and bolts of storytelling as well as publishing. Guest speakers and in-class readings will give students additional information about the world of publishing.
