Course Description:Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, Bizet. Each of these legendary composers will be featured in I Cantori di Carmel's Opera Under the Stars concert, May 10-11 at the Forest Theater. Music Director Daniel Henriks, a world-renowned conductor and opera singer, explores the musical and dramatic context of the pieces selected for the concert and why they still have relevance today. He'll also share tales from his career both on stage and on the podium and give some insight into the reality of life as a working musician. |

Facilitator:
Daniel Henriks' storied career has taken him to the leading opera houses and concert halls throughout Europe. A child prodigy, he conducted his first concert at age 13 and has been performing symphonic orchestral repertoire as well as major dramatic baritone roles ever since. He received his master's degree from Juilliard and has been Music Director of I Cantori di Carmel since 2020.
