Course Description:

These days, many things call for our attention, and sometimes that can cause us to become frazzled and disjointed. Writing in my journal returns me to at least a modicum of equilibrium. It’s a way to freely tunnel in and lift up, the best way I know of to identify what I feel, how I think, and who, at the moment, I am. As Julia Alvarez said, “I’m more who I am when I’m down on paper than anywhere else.” Join me one Saturday a month to discover the nuances and—the often surprising—particularities of what you feel and think, how you see the world, the richness of who you are. Each session includes two guided writing periods and an opportunity to share what you’ve written should you wish. This class is for those who see themselves as writers and those who don’t—yet.
