[Past Event] California's Oldest Theatre | Gentrain MPC

Course Description:

California's First Theatre is a Monterey legend, featuring performances as far back as the 1840s. It became a permanent theatre in 1937, hosting the Troupers of the Gold Coast for the next six decades. Now, after nearly a quarter-century of closure, funds have been raised and the iconic building is being restored. This talk will recount its colorful past and consider its bright future as a theatre once again.
