Course Description:

Why are some films considered classics while others are forgotten? Certain films have endured the test of time and transcended generations of viewers. Others were highly regarded upon release but gained little traction in the years that followed. Film historian Gary Shapiro presents clips and analysis of many classic films, many revered by contemporary audiences and unknown today, as well as films ignored in their time but now hailed as masterpieces. Join us for this journey back to Hollywood's Golden Age.
