Course Description:

Monterey County provides a fertile mixing ground for a number of inland and coastal natural communities and their related spring wildflowers. Come explore these habitats and their splendid array of local wildflowers. This course includes a morning lecture and visual presentation as well as a half-day field trip to one of our local wildflower hot spots.

CSUMB at Ryan Ranch, 8 Upper Ragsdale Drive, Monterey) as well as a second-to-be-determined location in the field.

Facilitator:

Nikki Nedeff, local ecologist, recently retired from teaching plant ecology courses at CSUMB and from conservation work with Big Sur Land Trust. Nikki loves nothing better than sharing her love of our local landscapes.
