From Joan Miró to Antoni Tàpies, Antoni Gaudí to Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Josep Lluís Sert to Oriol Bohigas, and many others, the city has produced an astonishing crowd of creatives over the centuries. This class explores the remarkable tradition of Catalonia's capital, where heritage and pioneering thinking have consistently kept Barcelona at the forefront of the modern and contemporary avant-garde.

His articles and projects have appeared in "Architectural Record," "Perspecta," "Global Architecture," "A+U," and the "Journal of Architectural Education." His most recent book, "The Modern Garden: The Outdoor Architecture of Mid-Century America," is published by Rizzoli New York.
