Casanova: Man or Myth? | In Person (MPC LF103)

Course Description:

From seducer of nuns to notches on a bedpost, Giacomo Casanova has the reputation as a ladies' man. But that is far from the whole story. He was also an author, translator, mathematician, law secretary, financier, spy, diplomat, and theater impresario who produced one of the most valuable descriptions of European travel and daily life in the eighteenth century. Kathleen Ann González, author of books about Casanova in Venice and in Rome, unravels the man from the many myths that surround him.
