Child Went Forth: Art and Poetry | In Person (Ryan Ranch)
Course Description:Patrice Vecchione and Lila Thorsen collaborate to take us back to the world of childhood, that place we all once inhabited. In paint and words we'll explore the range of experiences particular to this time—innocence and wonder, fear and sorrow, peace and happiness. We'll celebrate familiar and unfamiliar writers and artists who gave voice to the lives of children, the intimacy of that time, that play and discovery. We'll discuss the art and poetry together, and even resurrect our own inner kids as we frolic, hide and reminisce over this fleeting and formative time. |

Lila Thorsen, Ph.D., retired from teaching in, and chairing, the Visual and Public Art Department at CSUMB. Her scholarly focus is Museum Studies.
Patrice Vecchione, author, poet, artist, and teacher lives her life writing and bringing people together to find the words they most need.
