Course Description:

This popular series continues with four films based on major musicals from the 1950s with wildly varied subject matter and memorable songs. Two were written by the team of Richard Adler and Jerry Ross ("The Pajama Game" and "Damn Yankees") with iconic choreography by Bob Fosse. The other two are by Meredith Wilson ("The Music Man" and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown"). These musical gems are perennial favorites of high school and college drama departments due to their large casts and singable melodies. We will return to the historic Lighthouse Cinema in Pacific Grove to watch these on the big screen with popcorn, snacks and drinks available for purchase.
