Course Description:Do you ever wonder why there are cows at Palo Corona Regional Park in Carmel Valley? Grazing is a widely used tool for grassland management in coastal California. Bring a cup of joe and join experienced ranchers Luke and Emily Gardner for coffee in the pastures and discuss grazing strategies, cattle husbandry and other cow-related topics. We'll stroll the landscape and, depending on the location of the cattle, walk for 1-2 miles at elevations of 50-200 feet. Participants will meet at the Palo Corona Barn. |
