Constitution: Save our Democracy, or Destroy It? | Ryan Ranch [Wait List]

We continue to see how the U.S. Constitution’s undemocratic structure has led to minority rule in many recent elections, particularly with the voting inequality resulting from the Electoral College method of choosing the president, which greatly dilutes the value of individual votes from more populous states. In addition, unequal representation by two senators from each state regardless of population has resulted in far more representation in Congress by voters from small states. Many of us believe that our Constitution requires "one person, one vote" but that is not what happens in our elections. Can the Constitution itself address these issues? Or must the Constitution be amended or redrawn to establish a truly equal democracy in which each person's vote is equal to every other vote?
