Edge of Extinction: Can Sea Otters Show Us How to Survive? (Closed)

Course Description:

In this photographic journey, Kim Steinhardt explores the California sea otter's fight for survival against human-driven threats like global warming and sea level rise—threats that also place our own future at risk. Fast-evolving legal, policy, and environmental changes are reshaping our understanding of the relationship between humans and nature, demanding more innovative approaches and solutions. Part art, part science, part law, we'll examine these critical challenges and how we can better serve as citizen-advocates for a secure, sustainable future. Whether it's policies that impact the environment, warming oceans, or critically endangered animals, the future of our planet—and its creatures—hangs in the balance.
