Course Description:Elkhorn Slough is a remarkable sanctuary for wildlife, providing habitat for a diverse population of birds, plants, marine mammals, and fish. High concentrations of southern sea otters reside here, and hundreds of harbor seals and California sea lions loaf along the shore. Join us for a narrated cruise of this vibrant wetland on board a one-of-a-kind, electric-powered catamaran. Mark Silberstein and Taylor Honrath of the Elkhorn Slough Foundation will be on hand to provide wildlife indentification and interpretation of the landscape. They'll also give insight into the history and future of conservation of this unique cradle of biodiversity. |
