Course Description:

This offering has reached capacity at 18 participants. If you would like to enroll in the lecture portion only to be held on Friday, March 21, you may do so here.

If you would like to add your name to the Wait List for the full offering (talk + field) please see separate listing.

Why do you take photos? What do you do with them? Whether you share them online, keep them in albums, or leave them unseen, we all have stories to tell. In this two-part offering, we’ll explore how to uncover the stories in the images we take—and the world around us—and tell them with greater impact. The class includes an afternoon lecture and a morning field trip to the ocean near Moss Landing, where we’ll hone our skills for capturing purposeful and intriguing photos. We’ll focus on refining how we see and communicate through images, improving our ability to capture moments with intent. By the end, you’ll have new insights and tools to share your experiences with family, friends, or a wider audience.
