Course Description:

Perhaps second only to Mississippi, the state of Texas has contributed more than its fair share of outstanding blues guitarists. Join us as we follow the evolution of Texas guitar blues from the mournful country blues of Blind Lemon Jefferson to the classic electric blues of T-Bone Walker, Albert "The Iceman" Collins, and Johnny "Guitar" Watson, through the rock-influenced blues of Johnny Winter, the Vaughan Brothers, and more. We'll finish with two of the current stars in the Texas galaxy, Gary Clark, Jr. and the ultra-talented Carolyn Wonderland. Some names you'll know, some you won't. Bring your air guitar and play along!
