Course Description:We used to think that loneliness was sad, but not life threatening. But human beings are a social species, wired to connect. According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, besides food, water and safety, love and belonging are the most important needs we must fulfill. Recent studies show that not being connected to others has effects that cause problems for us in terms of our physical, mental and spiritual health. Join us in a discussion of the dangers of social isolation and lack of communication in our post-Covid world, and how to avoid these problems in your own life. |
