Course Description:The Landscape ReEnvisioned exhibition at the Monterey Museum of Art extends the iconic tradition of landscape photography in the Monterey region, birthplace of the West Coast photography movement founded by Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. A new generation of artists push the boundaries of traditional photography with innovative approaches to their craft. We'll begin with an overview of the showing with curator Helaine Glick and three featured artists. We'll then pay a visit to MMA for a private walkthrough of the exhibition. |

Helaine Glick is an independent curator and art writer. She is a former Assistant Curator at the Monterey Museum of Art where she helped create a wide range of exhibitions.
Award-winning lens-based artists Debra Achen, Adrienne Defendi and Brian Taylor have exhibited world-wide and their work can be found in many private, corporate and museum collections.
