Course Description:Join us for this artist’s studio tour across centuries and oceans to peek at where artists lose themselves in creative flow. Wherever art is made—garrett, loft, attic, atelier, bijutsukan, workshop, shed—it is revealing, giving us a glimpse into perception and process. From the geometry tools in Leonardo’s workroom to the skulls at Georgia O’Keeffe’s Ghost Ranch, the scribbled diagrams on Keith Haring’s white walls, the charming clutter of Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul, the tidy workspacein René Magritte’s home, or the party atmosphere of Warhol’s Factory—these details offer insights into the lives behind the artworks we see in books and on museum walls. In our second session, we will visit a local artist's studio. |
