Ways to Make Your OLLI Shine

OLLI@CSUMB thrives via the generosity of its community. A vivid example of this giving spirit is the Trotter Galleries, whose owners Terry and Paula Trotter have not only served as muses for numerous OLLI catalogs, yet have provided expertise, kindness and their giving hearts too. Featured above is Samuel Colburn's By The Wharf, c. 1942.

Collectively, we at OLLI@CSUMB give our all to deliver courses and experiences that deliver equal parts personal benefit and delight. Volunteers and donors keep us humming along in so many ways — both in the classroom and behind the scenes.

Here are a few ways to make your OLLI shine:

Donate.

OLLI is a self-supporting program. Funding comes from an endowment payout from The Bernard Osher Foundation, member fees and donations. We receive no state or university funding. Your tax-deductible gift helps us to:
  • Offer innovative programming with choices for participation — in person, livestream and recorded courses
  • Attract and retain the best faculty — by paying an honorarium that reflects our appreciation of their scholarship and expertise
  • Keep fees low and accessible — so that those wishing to join, can do so

Volunteer.

When you volunteer at OLLI, you demonstrate a spirit of program ownership, put your personal touch on a program designed to fit your needs, and help keep membership costs affordable. Your participation as a volunteer deepens connections with other members and provides an opportunity for you to pursue interests and develop new skills.

We have numerous opportunities available. Or, you can create your own unique volunteer position. Either way, we'd love to hear from you.
