Course Description:

Jerusalem is a city that grabs the world's attention–and it has for years. But what are its origins and what is its history? This course will trace the history of Jerusalem through the Jebusite period, to its rule by the Romans, to the Islamic period, to today. It will consider why Jerusalem matters so much to so many and how, today, it remains a pluralistic city with deep meaning and vibrant history.
