Course Description:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a genius, quite possibly a one-in-a-billion phenomenon. Is there a Mozart in today's culture? This course will review the amazing life of Mozart, especially the later years, and then will look to our current musical climate for an examination of prodigies and the meanings of "musical genius" and "virtuoso." We'll also discuss the state of classical music today.
