Course Description:

Butterfly expert Chris Tenney introduces us to a local "celebrity," the Monarch butterfly. We'll also learn about the other 90 species that fly in our area, from common backyard butterflies to exotic descendants of tropical species. Chris will also discuss some common misconceptions shared by casual butterfly watchers. This course includes a lecture and a follow up field trip to Penon Peak (Santa Lucia Preserve).
