Course Description:

Author Ray Bradbury can't be pigeonholed into a specific genre as his work spanned science fiction, fantasy, poetry, philosophy, mystery, theatre, and film. Often, during his seven-decade career, his creations achieved a lyrical, poetic quality which was put to good use in illuminating mankind's place in the universe, the beauty and terror of childhood and our hopes and fears for the future.

Director, producer and playwright Dan Gotch guides us on this four-part journey that will concentrate on Bradbury's plays, film and TV work. We'll search for insights into the author's life, themes, characterizations, plots, and expansive imagination. Dan will show biographical videos and interviews and discuss his own personal interactions with Bradbury, while encouraging us to share our own observations and anecdotes about this legendary author.
