Course Description:

Many of us hoped that we would be living in a post-racial America, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Race is in the news more than ever. Join us for this important four-part course where, using illuminating videos as a basis for information, we will share the history of race and racism in the U.S., including a focus on housing discrimination, mass incarceration, and the devastating concept of whiteness. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of racism and also learn ways one can take action in Monterey County to make a positive difference.
