Course Description:

Architectural historian Sally Woodbridge called Charles Moore “the embodiment of that many-sided ideal of Western civilization, the Renaissance man.” Work on a master’s thesis at Princeton brought Moore to the Monterey Peninsula, where he built his first houses between 1953 and ’57. He continued to design projects in Monterey for the rest of his life. The Dart Wing, an addition to the Monterey Museum of Art, was the architect’s last completed public building prior to his death in 1993. Join architectural historian Kent Seavey to learn about Moore’s groundbreaking work on the Monterey Peninsula.
